We seek a seasoned researcher with investment acumen to join our dynamic team, specializing in food and beverage production, distribution, and export. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of data analysis techniques, and investment profile characteristics, and a proven track record in generating actionable insights to drive business decisions. As a Senior Research and Investment Associate, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new production avenues, facilitating import substitution strategies, capitalizing on export opportunities, and assessing investment opportunities within the context of our business.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify and gather relevant data from various sources, including governmental organizations, market reports, industry databases, consumer surveys, and internal databases;
Develop and maintain robust data collection methodologies to ensure data accuracy and reliability;
Meet with key stakeholders acting as a data source and set data collection procedures;
Conduct a thorough analysis of market trends, trade dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitor activities within the FMCG sector;
Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify emerging trends and potential market opportunities;
Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for key stakeholders;
Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, product development, marketing, and sales teams to drive growth initiatives;
Evaluate market dynamics and competitive landscape to identify new production possibilities;
Assess import substitution potential by analyzing supply chain efficiencies, cost structures, and regulatory frameworks;
Develop financial models to assess the viability and potential return on investment for proposed projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field;
CFA designation is a plus;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research, data analysis, strategic consulting, or investment analysis, preferably within the FMCG industry;
Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience in data analysis tools and software is a plus;
Strong understanding of statistical methods, market research techniques, and financial analysis;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely;
Proven track record of driving business impact through actionable insights and strategic recommendations;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
